Ever since we got back from Colorado two weeks ago, I’ve been fighting off sickness. Well, the sickness finally won on Friday night. We went to the emergency room where I spent most of the day on Saturday. Turns out I have an upper respiratory infection and I was on steroids and breathing treatments all day in the hospital.
I finally get to go home about 4 PM Saturday afternoon. We get home, I lay down and Collette goes back to town to pick up my prescriptions about 6 PM. She gets home a little later and we have the following conversation.
Her: I couldn’t get your medicine.
Me: Why not?
Her: Because the drop-off window was closed. We’ll have to go back tomorrow and get it. Oh, and we’ll need to pick up one more thing.
Me: What’s that?
Her: Prenatal vitamins.
She then proceeds to drop this on my desk.
So, in about eight more months, we’ll be adding one to the family.
Never a dull moment around here.
